The Community Interpreter International (TCII) is a non-language specific 40-hour program suitable for experienced interpreters looking to refresh their strategy toolbox and have an updated understanding of the interpreter’s role,
as well as novice interpreters seeking to jump start their career! 

TCII is approved by the International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA) and stresses the National Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice as outlined by the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC).
This is a hands-on, activity and practice driven training that will get YOU equipped and empowered for the many situations faced on the field. 

Upon successful completion of this course, our students will be prepared to work as qualified, trained, tested and professional community and healthcare interpreters. Our training sessions are located throughout Delaware and ONLINE! Sessions include practice and critiquing drills, self- evaluations,  coaching on ethical decision making, and covers the essentials of community and medical interpreting.

***All students must pass a linguistic skills test prior to acceptance to our certificate training.***

* State of Interest Letter
* Professional Letter of Recommendation
* Copy of high school (or the equivalent) or higher education diploma
* Copy of Driver’s License
* Copy of Language Proficiency Test (LPT) results. Please note this fee is NOT included in the overall tuition cost and it must be taken in order to receive a Certificate of Successful Completion.  Contact us at admin@languageliaisons.com to get your test scheduled. 

A score of “Advanced Mid” or higher on the language proficiency test is recommended for entry.
